Three Christians Killed in Mosul, Iraq

Quoting the news source, the Assyrian International News Agency www.aina.org , says a man and his father were both shot dead Tuesday, October 7, at their workplace, while extremists forced their way into a pharmacy in another district of the city and killed a Christian assistant who worked there. AINA said extremists killed a man and his father in September in the same city, which is located some 400 kilometers to the north of the capital and which is home to the second-largest community of Christians in Iraq after Baghdad. Missionary Beaten in Chhattisgarh
On September 29, a group of seven anti-Christian extremists attacked Gospel for Asia missionary Darpan Dakshi in Chhattisgarh, India. The missionary was on his way to visit some believers when the radicals surrounded him. As Darpan walked to the believers homes, the fanatics circled around him on their bikes. They stopped Darpan and grabbed him, abusing him with threatening words. They also pushed him around and tore his shirt. As the extremists were about to beat Darpan, several villagers—some of whom were Christians—came to his aid. They swept Darpan away, and he was able to escape. Gospel for Asia missionary Vinay Ganpati is still facing threats months after an anti-Christian mob attacked his church in Tamil Nadu, India. The attack happened after a local woman, believed to be a goddess, blamed two deaths on the Christian community. After the attack on the church building and congregation, one of the anti-Christians died in an accident. Minister Murdered by Vietnamese Security Police

Three More Christians Killed in Orissa
Three more believers were martyred and twelve others were severely wounded in a fresh wave of violence in Orissa, India, on September 30. The latest attacks occurred in villages near Kandhamal, which has been the epicenter of violence against Christians since August 22.
