Missionary and New Believers Harassed and Threatened
ASSAM, INDIA ANS — The Choudhury family in Assam, India, is paying a heavy price to follow their new life in Christ. They have been forced to flee their home by the harassment and threats from other villagers, including their own relatives. Lalit, Anjali and their three children chose to follow Jesus after hearing about His love from GFA-supported Pastor Samir Datta. When the couple recently made a bold proclamation of their new faith in the community, their relatives and others in the village reacted strongly. Missionaries Brutally Beaten, Flee to the Forest for Shelter
Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries Mohak Chavan and Ishayu Tambe had to hide out in a forest after enduring brutal beatings at the hands of anti-Christian extremists on September 4. The men had just returned from one prayer meeting and were leading another in a village in Rajasthan, India, when about 30 extremists barged into the room, shouting and speaking abusively against them. Church set on fire in Pakistan over blasphemy accusation

The Church of Pakistan building in Jataykay village near Sambrial, received partial damage as a result of the fire.
