Hindu Radicals Attack Church, Seriously Injure 11 Christians

WASHINGTON D.C. (ANS) – Hindu extremists recently attacked a Christian prayer meeting in Udaipur, Rajastha (India), leaving 11 Christians with serious injuries.
International Christian Concern (ICC), a human rights group, reported in a news release that on Jan. 17 at about 11 PM local time, members of Rashtriya Swayamsavak Sangh (a Hindu extremist group) stormed the Faith Calvary Church (FCC) prayer meeting armed with machetes, axes and sticks. Indian Pastor and Believers Attacked and Beaten, Church Service Disrupted In Andhra Pradesh State

ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA (ANS) – A group of Hindu radicals barged into a prayer service held in a church in Jalliguda, which is located in Hyderabad City, Andhra Pradesh state, India and mercilessly beat the pastor and the attendees at a meeting in on Sunday, January 10, 2010.
According to the Council of Indian Christians (GCIC), an advocacy group, they reported that on January 10, at around 9:00 am, approximately 50 members belonging to the Hindu radical groups, Rashtriya Swayam Sevaks (RSS) and Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP), barged inside the prayer hall and beat Pastor Benhur who was conducting the prayer service and also some of the attendees. Fourth Malaysian Church Attacked

KUALA LUMPUR, WEST MALAYSIA (ANS) — A fourth Malaysian church was firebombed this afternoon (Saturday, January 09, 2010, in a spate of attacks on churches that began two days ago here, linked to a court ruling allowing the word Allah to be used by non-Muslims.
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was the latest church to be attacked, according to web news portal Malaysian Insider. “A firebomb missed a window and caused minor damage,” it quoted Rev Dr Hermen Shastri, the general-secretary of the Council of Churches, Malaysia. Read the rest of this entry »
