SAUDI ARABIA (ANS) — Saudi Arabia set deport 15 Christians Tuesday, August 5, holding private worship meetings house city Taif.

International Christian Concern (ICC) www.persecution.org ss Friday, April 25, Saudi Arabian police raided house 16 Christians holding prayer meeting.

In e-mail report obtained ANS, ICC says: “The ft officer enter house breaking main gate pistol Christians tm hand resident permits mobile phones. 11 police followed quickly started searching entire house. confiscated electronic drum set, offering box wh 500 Saudi Riyal ($130), 20 bibles, Christian books.”

ICC police initially accused Christians preaching Bible singing. Ty lr changed charge holding “dance party” collecting money support terrorism.

The report goes dg raid, police mocked, questioned harassed Christians fr hours.

“Then tk police station head station interrogated them. head police tn wrote dn ’statements’ Arabic forced Christians, immigrants able read write Arabic, sign statements.”

After interrogations, Christians we incarcerated held incommunicado. Ar days, Christians finally released April 27, 2008 8 PM, ICC said.

The ICC report stated: “Upon release, Christians permanently departed country. others, thinking tt ordeal over, wt tr daily lives wk soon received letters demanding leave country immediately.”

ICC arrested Christians hard people ce Saudi Arabia improve lives contribute economic growth country. Saudi officials’ decision deport tm practicing faith despicable.

ICC adds: “The decision deport tm runs contrary recent attempts portray kingdom beacon reconciliation ag Christians, Muslims, Jews others. weeks ago, Saudi Arabia hosted interfaith conference Madrid, Spain. conference July 16-19, King Abdullah Saudi Arabia called reconciliation ag various religions.”

Jeff King, ICC’s President, said, “Deporting Christians worshiping private homes King Abdullah’s speech mere rhetoric country deceiving international community desire change reconciliation.”
