Sanjeev Mehta arrived at the home of a believer in Mumbai, India, to conduct prayer meeting as usual. The Christians who had gathered for the meeting warned him that there was danger in the air: a mob of anti-Christian extremists was headed his way to beat him!

This area of Maharashtra, India, is one of hard spiritual soil, yet God is using Sanjeev’s ministry to draw people to Christ. The missionary holds regular meetings where believers are growing and fellowshipping.

But this meeting had to be cut short. A mob of 60 people, armed with bamboo rods and other weapons used to inflict torture, was on its way and on a mission to beat Sanjeev.

Thankfully, Sanjeev was able to escape before the mob could reach him and do him harm. But such danger is not unusual for Sanjeev, and GFA missionaries like him, to risk on a daily basis.

GFA leaders ask for prayer for the Lord’s powerful intervention in this situation and that He would protect Sanjeev and his family as they labor for Him.
