Persecution Update India reports that

On 29th March 2008 around 4.00 in the evening Pastor Hanock Sanjeev from Asifabad of Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh was attacked. A group of four RSS activists led by Mr. Gattu Beemaiah [driver of Sridevi, MLA-Asifabad Telugu Desha Party (TDP)] entered forcibly into Pastor Hanok’s house and started beating him with sticks and left the place. He went to the hospital and was back in the evening after treatment. He still has pain in his chest region.

Pastor. Hanock (35) came to the Christian faith from a Hindu background 22 years ago. He came to know about the gospel of Jesus through a Pastor. Emmanuel of Hebron Church in the year 1985. He comes from the Scheduled Tribe caste. He is married to his wife Latitha and has 2 children. He runs an independent church called Believers Church from the year 1992, in a place called Tandul Mandal, Asifabad where people belonging to scheduled tribes live. His ministry is growing well in that place and he has won 75 souls to the Lord. This caught the attention of the Hindu radicals.

Please pray for Pastor. Hanock Sanjeev for grace to continue his Ministry.
