Pastor brutally attacked in Madhya Pradesh

MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA ANS — A Pastor from who was on his way back from ministry was attacked by a group of Hindu radicals on May 24, according to news issued in the website of Global council of Indian Christians GCIC www.persecution.in The attacked Pastor was Ramesh Mandevey 31 yrs. The site reported that the incident took place as Pastor Ramesh was returning on 24th afternoon from a fellow believer’s house.

The site reported that the Pastor and his companion was attacked by a group of 10 persons belonging to a Hindu radical group Rashtriya swayam sevaks RSS at about 12.10 pm in the afternoon at a place called Tundavata. The companion fled.

According to the website, the pastor was left half-dead when one his companions who had escaped during the attack, returned and took him to the police station. GCIC coordinator, Mr. Sam Matthew, is pursuing the issue with the local police and trying to get an FIR lodged while attending to the pastor in hospital.

“He has very serious internal injuries and his general condition is very weak”, said Sam Matthew, GCIC coordinator. GCIC requests prayer for the pastor and Sam Matthew and for God’s continued protection and grace on the believers and evangelists in Madhya Pradesh state.
