Florida is currently experiencing a skilled-worker shortage

  1. I live down here, its all retiring baby-boomers moving down from the North and buying houses, so FL trades are in need of help. Not enough ‘kids’ that are willing to work outside in the heat. Thats why so many Mexicans are doing a lot of work that FL kids wont do.

  2. Yes but that's because they don't have strong unions in Miami because the Mexicans take all the work with a lower rate and defeats the unions.

  3. The problem is location. More businesses need to move into the rural areas. People like myself with the needed skills refuse to move into a city. Peace is more important than money.

  4. Yeah but it's also physical, strenuous, dangerous work that can kill you so keep that in mind. Plus you have to work with shitbags all day. Shits not for everyone. I don't blame anyone who makes a living not working construction.

  5. these young people rather try and thug it up than learn from older people on these jobs. I truly don't know what's going to happen to the industry.

  6. I mean, when all you have are illegal aliens and a bunch of useless men thanks to feminism and all their crap in recent years what do you expect? You have uneducated immigrants and natives who don't want to bother doing anything anymore and have no drive thanks to feminism tearing men down. If women are so damned great, why aren't they doing all this shit in place of men?

  7. As an X-Construction guy i wouldn't live in Miami for $75 Grand a Year . In fact..you would be lucky to able to survive in Miami for that amount of money .

  8. TRAIN AMERICANS!!!! For decades and decades our gov't and corporations and businesses gave these jobs to illegals so Americans stopped learning how to do them. Give Americans back the jobs and train them. They will take them.

  9. Media has shit all over the labour. Most of these feminized men want to stay clean in the AC and think they need a degree before they can work. I got a degree because my indoctrinated generation almost requires it as a standard. Regardless, Desantis wants to get the trades back in schools. I'm hoping we can figure this out without importing people who more and more, refuse to assimilate.

  10. Lmao yeah why would I want a job in construction? My brother tried that already and the work is spotty. He has to file for unemployment once or twice a year because he might go without work 2 or 3 months at a time. Yeah the pay isn't bad when hes actually doing a job but like i said its inconsistent and the unions only protect the older farts not the 20-30 year olds who gotta scrape by on whatever scraps they can get. Bottom line if you want people to work for you make it worth it. All this talk of oh just be happy you have a job is complete BS rhetoric shoved in our faces. Im happy when im not at work doing shit I don't wanna do.

  11. It could change in a heartbeat if you allow retired journeymen/ masters tax free jobs tutoring/supervising those wanting to learn the trade. 90% of knowledge is available outside a classroom in the field

  12. Florida is experiencing a skilled worker shortage?
Workers from other states cannot help out? Hey, maybe Florida needs to increase their wages to attract American workers? Does anybody in Florida know anything about business?

A business is not an ENTITLEMENT. No one is ENENTITLED to a business.

IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO HIRE AMERICAN WORKERS, YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS.

  13. Bullshit, this company will not hire you unless you speak Spanish and they are lying about the money. If you work 80 hours a week, you may come close to earning 70,000 a year. Already checked this company out. They lie to get you working for them then pay low wages. Not fair for anyone but the company. Save your time and money, these people are liars.

  14. latinos are cheap they won't hire blacks, Haitians and whites. they just hire other latinos. puerto Ricans and Cubans don't count as Latinos they have lots of benefits and rig the system.

  15. If you live in CT or Mass where you have licenses for tradesmen go to school or join a union to be an electrician or plumber. You can make over $100k a year. I'm an electrician and I recognize I'm lucky, but I'm going to make $120k this year and I only got my journeyman license last year.

  16. THAT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE BEING PUSHED TO HIRE ONLY UNQUALIFIED "MINORITIES" INSTEAD OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED WHITE PEOPLE .

    Lady is lying.

Everybody willing to hire white people are fully staffed and doing juuuust fine. 👍

  17. it will fix itself. It always does. As more people waste time in college getting worthless degrees. They will have to compete for low paying jobs. As you can only have so many, Intellectuals with shitty ideas. That produce nothing. As even the States are cutting the fat… and out sourcing. So no Government jobs for the college idiots… Unless you have a STEM degree… But that debt they carry is real and the Government will collect it.
