Landslide in northern China leaves several dead … rescue ongoing


A landslide in northern China on Friday has
caused two residential buildings and a public bathhouse to collapse. According to the report by Xinhua News Agency,
the landslide occurred in Shanxi province and as of Sunday morning 10 people were found
dead, 13 injured and 10 are still missing. Chinese authorities have sent 700 rescue personnel
to the scene, and rescuers worked overnight to search for survivors. During the investigation, it was found that
79 people were at the disaster scene but 46 escaped without injuries.
